NEW PERSPECTIVES IN VISUAL PERCEPTION

Sight opens up new worlds, new knowledge for us.The process of seeing is variable; optical research and optical media is constantly redefining our vision. In the history of humanity, diverse events, insights and discoveries have opened up new perspectives onto seemingly familiar worlds and, thus, extended and transformed the customary perception. The book Späher, or Scout, makes it possible to experience important transformations of our visual perception, illuminates developments and their consequences for the society at the corresponding time: the first impressions under a microscope, the first x-rays, the development of film and photography, the first satellite photos.
