STATE PRIZE 2002

In 2002, the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology awarded the Bavarian State Prize for Young Designers for the tenth time.

Participants included 212 graduates of German design schools, young professionals who had completed training in the field, and young professionals in the applied crafts industry.

The broad spectrum of the entries shows the variety and creativity of the young professionals as well as the responsibility assumed by the designing professions. After a preselection of 59 works based on photo documentation, in the main selection process the jury chose two winners in the industrial design and/or textile design category, one winner in the applied crafts category and six works to receive recognition awards.
